Labels are internal tags you add to a client to classify them however your business works: how they pay (debit order, EFT), how they are billed (prepaid, postpaid), a region, a sales rep. A client can carry several labels at once, so the two axes above do not compete. Clients never see labels.
Adding labels to a client
- 1
Open the client
Go to Clients and click the client. Next to the client name at the top of the page you will see a Labels button, or a tag icon if the client already has labels. - 2
Add or remove labels
Type a label and press Enter to add it, or pick one of the labels you already use from the suggestions. Click the × on a chip to remove it, then Save. You can also set labels on the add and edit client forms.
Filtering the client list
Exporting and sending statements to a labelled group
With a label filter active, open the ⋯ menu at the top right of the client list:
- Export filtered clients (CSV) downloads the clients currently shown, including a Labels column.
- Send statements to filtered clients emails every client shown their full statement, one at a time, with a progress bar. Clients without an email address are skipped and listed, and any failures are listed at the end so you can fix them and retry.
This is how a monthly debit-order run works: filter to debit-order, export the list for your bank, and send statements to the same group.

Limits
A client can carry up to 10 labels of 40 characters each. Labels are matched case-insensitively, so "EFT" and "eft" are the same label. When you merge two clients the surviving client keeps both clients' labels.
