Recurring Invoices

Organizing recurring invoices with labels

Add internal labels to Rebill recurring invoice schedules to organize and filter your list by client type, project, or billing category.

Last updated

Labels are internal tags you can add to a recurring invoice schedule to organize your list by client type, project, or billing category. Clients never see labels, and labels are not copied onto the invoices the schedule generates.

Assigning labels

  1. 1

Add labels while setting up the schedule

On the recurring invoice form, the Labels section sits below Notes and Bank Details. Type a label and press Enter to add it, or pick one of your existing labels from the suggestions.
  2. 2

Or edit labels from the schedule's detail page

Open a recurring invoice and click the Labels button next to the status badge at the top of the page. Add or remove labels, then click "Save" to apply your changes immediately.

Filtering by label

Once at least one of your recurring invoices has a label, a Labels filter appears above the recurring invoices list alongside the Status filter. Click it and tick one or more labels to show only matching schedules. Searching also matches label names.
