You can create a delivery note in Rebill from an existing invoice (the most common workflow) or as a standalone document. Both options produce a professional, branded PDF you can send to your client.
Option 1: Create from an invoice
- 1
Open the invoice
Go to Invoices and click the invoice you want to create a delivery note for. - 2
Click "Create Delivery Note"
On the invoice page, look for the "Create Delivery Note" button in the actions menu. Click it to open the delivery note form pre-filled with the client and line items from this invoice. - 3
Adjust quantities if needed
If you are making a partial delivery, update the quantity for each line item to reflect only what is being dispatched in this delivery. Items with a quantity of 0 can be removed. - 4
Set the delivery date
Confirm or update the delivery date. This is the date the goods are being dispatched or delivered. - 5
Add notes (optional)
Add any delivery instructions or notes for the client, such as a reference number, contact details for the delivery driver, or special handling instructions. - 6
Create the delivery note
Click "Create Delivery Note". The note is saved and linked to the source invoice. You can now download the PDF to share with your client.
Option 2: Create a standalone delivery note
- 1
Go to Delivery Notes
In the main navigation, go to Delivery Notes and click "Add Delivery Note". - 2
Select your client
Search for and select the client this delivery is for. Their address and contact details will be pulled in automatically. - 3
Add line items
Add each item being delivered with a description and quantity. Unlike invoices, prices are not shown on delivery notes. - 4
Set the delivery date and add notes
Set the date of delivery and add any notes or special instructions. - 5
Create and download
Click "Create Delivery Note" to save it. You can then download the PDF to print or share with your client.
Partial deliveries
For partial deliveries, create the delivery note from the invoice and reduce the quantities to match what is actually being sent. You can create another delivery note from the same invoice later for the remaining items.
